There was no Retirement party at YP with more people than Lloyd had. A packed house ! I worked w/Lloyd on various positions, and as I've said to many, Lloyd was the type of guy, that if he asked you to "run through that wall", you'd do it without asking. You'd think, "if Lloyd wants me to know why I'm to run through this wall", then he'll tell me. I last talked to him last September/October just before he left for Florida. He was A MAN among men ! Can't think of anyone else that I had more respect for in that wonderful company that he helped build and LED BY EXAMPLE.

Such sad news. I was fortunate enough to work as Lloyd's Administrative Secretary for a number of years. He was a thoughtful and considerate boss and I left with many happy memories. My sincere condolences to his family.

Linda, Steven and Janine- I worked at Yellow Pages for many years beginning my career there in 1979. I knew your Mom and Dad well - we had the connection of Joyce Nellist and her beloved Stan. When Joyce was ill, your Mom was very caring and generous of her time and attention to them both. In recent years when Stan was ailing and housebound, your Dad often paid him visits that I know he appreciated very much. We enjoyed many spectacular sales incentive trips together with our dear YP colleagues, which generated countless great memories for us all! Please know that your Dad was well respected and admired. . . he was a wonderful man!

Lloyd Hancock was Vice President of Sales - Yellow Pages in Toronto and I had the honour of working in Sales Management under his stewardship in the 90's. He was a fantastic boss - wise, caring, fair, and a real gentleman, coupled with an astute business sense and great leadership skills. He will be sadly missed and was one of a kind. My regards to his family.
