Dear Beth and family... I knew Bill best as a summer working companion at the Banff Springs Hotel in the magical 1960s. As young men testing our "coltish muscles", we climbed and hiked together in the Rockies' embrace. Then, in a moment blessed, my wife and I visited your beloved farm in September 2013 where, in autumn splendour, we last bid farewell to this unique and quiet-spoken man. Bill was a very special person to all who worked with him in Banff. He epitomized all the qualities of a forthright, honest, good and sturdy friend. I had not seen him since the 60's, but was looking forward to seeing him at the reunion in 2013. Alas that was not to be as my wife was ill. My sincere condolences to you and the family Beth at this very difficult time.
