My deepest sympathy goes out to Peter's partner Maureen and her family. Though I worked with Maureen more recently at the Ontario Ministry of Health I also worked with Peter at the Ministry of Education 30 years ago when I first started with the government. My deep sympathy to Maureen. Jim and Mariko. The words describing Peter in the notice of his passing were perfect= Those qualities were there when I first knew Peter over 6o years ago--I might add self-effacing modesty. In those days a group of us shared our worries, enthusiasms, hopes and dreams. That Peter found Maureen and then with the blessing of son Jim and his wife Mariko and the two grandchildren Kanau and Nicole a dream of Pater's was realized. We have lost a dear friend but have special memories of long ago times and thankfulness for his life. With love, Zoe

We first got to know Peter almost 40 years ago now, and over the years he evolved into a solid friend. Invariably kind & helpful, Peter was also intelligent, perceptive, and then there was the canny smile. He possessed a very pointed sense of humor - in fact, we still make frequent use of "PB 1-liners". One of Peter's nicest traits was his modesty, especially considering his range of knowledge & capabilities.
Rest easy, Peter - you certainly made our lives richer for having known you.
