Obituary of Lloyd La Rocque

LLOYD LESLIE La ROCQUE C.A. March 3, 1930 - February 14, 2015 With great sorrow we announce Lloyd's passing on Valentine's Day, 2015 in the Sunnybrook Palliative Care Unit. A multiplicity of health issues severely compromised his deteriorating heart function. Lloyd was cherished by an adoring family and many friends. He leaves Barbara his treasured wife and best friend of forty-four years. Adoring daughters Karen Bowden (Rob) and Lesley (Stefan), grandchildren Ryan and Lauryn Bowden and baby Jack La Rocque-Ohlmann. Loving sisters Alma Gravelle, Lorraine Cuomo (Rocco) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours to mourn his loss. Predeceased by father Percy, mother Lily May, brothers Roderick and Percy and sisters Lily and Dorothy (Dubchak). Although Lloyd's career started in Public Accounting, he gravitated to the hospital scene where he held the roles of C.F.O. at The Wellesley Hospital Toronto, 1950's -1981, C.F.O. at St. Michael's Hospital 1981 - 1987 and Financial Consultant to the Ontario Ministry of Health, 1988 until his retirement in 1995. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. on Friday, February, 20. Funeral mass is to be held at the BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH, 24 Cheritan Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M4R 1S4 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21. With a reception to follow at the funeral home.
