Just yesterday, Mom and I were remembering Aunt Leila and Dad. They are missed but the great memories shared live on!

I'm partly contacting you on my behalf and partly on behalf of my Mum, Gwynneth (Gale) Bourne. I wish to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. "Aunt" Leila was very special to my Mum - I'm pretty sure they were school girls together and that Leila was one of Mum's bridesmaids. Both Dad ( "Pep", who passed away in 1994) and Mum enjoyed several wonderful adventures with Leila and Ken at their cottage and Mum always made a point of calling or visiting Leila whenever she was in Toronto. Leila was very much one of Mum's dearest old friends and it will break my heart to have to tell her the news. Mum had to be moved to Toronto in 2010 after over 30 wonderful retirement years in Kingston. She suffers from Alzheimers but still has many "good" days. Leila touched the lives of many, including my Mum, who I know would wish Leila "happy trails".

Thinking of all of you. It is never easy to lose a mother or nana. Thanks for calling to let us know Don. It was at your mother's dinner table that I was delighted to taste asparagus for the first time with cheese sauce. And feeling the concern of watching my table manners!! I fondly recall Leila's smile and ready laughter. Don, I remember the night walk up the railway tracks to the cottage and your tales of rattle snakes.[ thanks !] Please, all, keep in touch. Sally

I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, I cannot join Nancy and John at the funeral as I am fighting off a bug, but I will be there in thought even though I cannot be there in person. Judy
