Obituary of Laurinda De Sousa

De Sousa, Laurinda September 10, 1925 -January 23, 2015 Mrs. Laurinda De Sousa passed away peacefully at the Rouge Valley Health System, Centenary Site on Friday, January 23, 2015 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Agostinho. Loved mother of Joseph (Marvila), Carlos (Joanne), John (Elaine), Ana (David Geissler) and the late Emmanuel and Gabriel. Also survived by ten grandchildren. She was loved very much by her family and friends. She was an exemplary human being and a mother to her six children, and a very good friend and neighbour. She was very active in her church community and her love of travel took her to many places in her life, but the one place she so loved was being at home with her family. God saw that her suffering was not to end so he summoned her to his kingdom of heaven, and to be reunited with her husband and her two sons who predeceased her. If tears could build a stairway to heaven, then I would come to be by her side. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29.
