Obituary of John Richard Gerecht Davidson

John Richard Gerecht (Dick) Davidson - Dick passed away peacefully in Toronto on January 21, 2015 in his 88th year. Pre-deceased by his wife Noni and sister Sue Polanyi, Dick will be sadly missed by his children Andrea, Pamela, Brenda and Dick, grandchildren Gordon & Gillian; JP, David & Annika; Ryan & Drew, and long time partner Frances Lee Mitchell of Raleigh, North Carolina. Dick will also be missed by his many friends from Upper Canada College, the Badminton & Racquet Club, The Toronto Golf Club and in Raleigh, NC, as well as associates from his 34 years at Simpsons/The Bay and 10 years as President of Brewers Retail. A Memorial Service will take place at Grace Church on the Hill (300 Lonsdale Rd) on Tuesday, January 27th at 2pm. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. The family would like to express our deep appreciation to the staff at Belmont House for their kind and thoughtful care and to recognize our friend Brian McColpin for his tireless and devoted energy to Dad. In lieu of flowers, donations to Belmont House would be welcomed.
