Obituary of Harvey Willis

WILLIS, Harvey On Sunday, January 18, 2015, Harvey peacefully passed away at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his family, one day after his 94th birthday. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife Margaret; his four children, Rodney, Timothy (Bente), Susan (Ralph), Patricia; ten loving grandchildren and spouses; and nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his loving brother Ewart and sister Audry. Lovingly remembered by his sister Jean Crozier of London, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was born in Toronto in 1921; attended Eglinton P.S. and Northern Vocational; worked for A.B.I. Works & CGE, and was a draftsman, Sales and General Manager at John T. Hepburn for 46 years. Harvey served with the 25th Battery, RCA 2nd Medium Regiment from 1941 in Canada, England, Italy and Western Holland. Discharged as a Sergeant in 1946, he married Margaret Medhurst the same year. He was an active volunteer for Todmordon Mills, Habitat for Humanity, Masonry, Goodwill and the Church of St. Augustine of Canterbury. A celebration of Harvey's life will take place in the CHURCH OF ST. AUGUSTINE OF CANTERBURY, 1847 Bayview Avenue at Broadway, on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. If desired, memorial donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity, Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation or the Church of St. Augustine of Canterbury.
