Dear Mary,Sandra and Cathy, I was very saddened to hear of the death of your mother. I last spoke to her when Gord passed away and before that at the time of Peter's death. From the moment I heard her voice I remembered all the times I used to spend at your house and all of us ( Sandra, Mary,Peter and my brothers Gord and Robert) sitting around the table with your Mom making plans for that crazy canoe trip we took together. It all seemed like just yesterday but in reality it has been close to 25 years since I last saw her. She sounded just like the Mrs.Scott I had known years ago. I remember her beautiful smile and her kind, warm personality. I have often thought of her and on several occasions thought of calling but unfortunately never seemed to get around to it. I wish now that I had. I know what you are going through as my Mom passed away in March of this year. There is nothing like a mother and I know the great sadness and emptiness that you must be feeling. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your families. Debra (Laughton) Campbell

Dear Cathy, Sandra and Mary, When I think of your mom (always "Mrs. Scott" to me) the first thoughts that come to mind are her easy laughter, her warmth and her generosity. She was always quick to see the humourous side of life, enjoying a good joke and infusing it with her infectious laugh. I don't know if she ever knew what a big role she played in my childhood, as I know she did with many of your friends, but I am grateful for the easy way she took me into your home and always made me feel like a part of the family. Whether it was trips to the cottage, family dinners, chats in the living room (and a lot of laughs) -- she always showed genuine interest in me and everything I was doing and she really did give me a sense of comfort and ease. There are people in our lives that leave their mark in a special way and to whom we are thankful for just being the people who they are and allowing us to share in their lives. We feel truly blessed to have known them and will forever be touched and changed by their kindness --for me, your mom was one of those people and I will always remember her and be thankful to have known her.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Marg's passing. I had the priviledge of working with Marg for many years at Fabricland. Marg was always a happy co-worker and always had good things to say about people. She was always there to help me when I screwed up on drapery and was always a joy to work with. She was ever the doting "grandma" and proud to tell us about their progress. I will miss Marg, even though we lost touch over the years. My prayers are with you.

Mary, Sandra and Cathy, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this time. Reminiscing about some of the great times with the Scott family, all the stuff we did together at the farm in Harriston, playing ball, visits with Mary after football games in TO, etc. Larry has so many crazy stories about stuff he did with Peter and Gordon which involved your Mother's station wagon. If you ever are up in Harriston, Larry's Dad is still on the farm and we are still in Harriston so feel free to drop in. Sorry for your tremendous loss....Larry's Mom passed away if March so we truly empathize and sympathy with you. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver our condolences in person but hope you know we are thinking of each of you.
