HEPBURN, James Forgan (Mitch) May 9, 1926 - December 16, 2014 James died at Humber River Regional Hospital, Toronto, and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elsie Talboys. They were married February 7, 1953. James was predeceased by parents John T. and Elizabeth Ann (Bessie Aitchison), brothers John T. (Jack) and wife Joan Warren, William A. (Bill) and wife Marion Stanley, and surviving wife Mary. James is survived by sons James F. Hepburn Jr., and Robert Grant Hepburn, his wife Kelly Ann Foster and granddaughters Karyn Elizabeth and Alison Joan, and by many nieces and nephews of James and Elsie. James attended St. Andrew's College, Aurora and Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, U.S.A. Upon returning to Canada he was active in heavy industry with brothers Jack and Bill, and thus was active in technical and trade associations (Life Member, Association of Iron and Steel Engineers) and served as a Canadian representative on the United Nations Industrial Advisory Group. He was an active member of Parkdale Presbyterian Church (now Bonar-Parkdale) and, more recently, as a member of St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church. He continued his membership in Ashlar Lodge AF & AM (now Ashlar St. Clair), that he joined with his brothers, and was a long time member of the Toronto Board of Trade and the Granite Club. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 19. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Saturday, December 20 at 11:00 a.m. James expressed the wish that any memorial donations be directed to St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church, 15 Lambeth Road, Etobicoke M9A 2Y6, 416-233-8591, or to any charity of your choice.
