It is with heartbreaking sadness that we announce the death of Alistair James McCallum on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 after a courageous struggle with Ewing's sarcoma. His untimely death at the age of 57 leaves an emptiness in the lives of those who loved him, especially his wife and best friend Rhona, and his beloved children Matt and Caleigh. Predeceased by his parents Ian and Betty McCallum of Hamilton and his beloved younger brother Angus. Creative, intelligent, kind, honest, dependable, patient, loyal and humble, all these wonderful qualities packaged together into one amazing person. Alistair was a special and unique man and will be remembered with great respect. To honour Alistair, a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at one o'clock at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East).
