Sending my prayers to Hugh's family and friends. I felt so lucky to have interviewed Hugh on his life in the piano business, which was the beginning of our friendship. He will be missed.

Hugh was a dear friend of my dad's Vince Cochrane . Hugh was the first person my dad met at Weston when he joined in the 90's . He made my dad' s transition moving from Montreal so easy....in fact he said if he had met the guys sooner at Weston he would have moved a lot sooner. Sadly my dad passed away 9 years ago at the billiard table at Weston. He was in great care though...he had just .beaten Hugh...took his looney and told Hugh to put him in a chair. I couldn't think of a better friend to have at that time. For me Hugh was an institution at Weston..always involved, always interesting and interested in everyone...he loved to debate, talk investments, and was great company Few of us can say we have no enemies...Hugh was such a man! My life is better for knowing him. I hope he gets that loonie back from my dad ! Greg Cochrane

Hugh was a fixture for so many years at Weston and I looked forward to his chats every time we met. My hope is he will meet his old friend Bobo and carry on their animated discussions where ever they are.
