I met and spoke with Gail at the L.V.Rogers high school reunion in 2013. It was good to see her after so many years. She lead a full life and contributed much but her time was all too short as has been with many of our classmates. My condolences to you, Cheryl. May all your good memories keep her close to your heart. She will be remembered.

As a long time friend, I so saddened by Gail's passing. I am sorry I did not hear sooner. She was a school friend going way back to junior high. She was also my maid of honour at my wedding back in 1965. We last emailed this past summer, keeping track of our travel plans and if she was going to make it out west or not. So glad we had time at our reunion in 2013, we could meet and catch up as if we were never apart. Going to miss her, but she is now free from the pain of the RA

It was such a shock to read Gail's obituary in the lobby this morning. She was a great lady, always smiling and very pleasant. Gail will be greatly missed in our building and at our special Christmas party and BBQ. We had more interests than I knew, films, theatre etc. Our sympathy to you and the family. Love, Clair and Fouad #811

Hello Cheryl, I, too, grew up in Nelson and graduated from LVR High School. Our family lived corner of Cottonwood and Third, and your house was on Fourth St, a block and a bit away. I remember chatting with you dad when we went to Nelson Farmers' Supply as youngsters. I still have a brother, Robert, and a sister, Nancy, living in Nelson so visit at least once per year. I have another sister, Menette, who lives in Abbotsford and I am in Victoria. When I saw Gail's obituary in the Globe I was saddened yet flooded with memories or our childhood in Fairview. I hope you have many memories to cherish and honour your sister. My sincere sympathy. Mary Louise Horton
