Dawn MacLachlan on behalf of our Family posted a condolence

I wanted to share our family's love and fondness for our Uncle Ron.
Our Mother, Audrey, always repected and looked up to her Brother , Ron, throughout his life. He was a wonderful big brother! He epitomized kindness and sevice to community. She enjoyed spending time with her Brother, and cherished the last few times they visited together. That same respect was inherited by her children-Cheryl,LeeAnne, Dawn and Todd, the next generation,-Ron's nieces and nephew.
We remember Ron as a quiet, open minded man. He was a good man, without judgement. With Ruth at his side they were a dynamic duo.Their love for each other was always visible, even to me as a small child. There was something special about their mutually respected relationship.I can still see their special smile to each other accross the kitchen in Port Credit.
I remember visiting their home for family events and it as always memorable .There was something special about their home that exuded a special type of intellectual comfort. I always loved the foyer at the front door with the french door- which was very exotic to me , coming from the suburbs.
Once, we were taken on a tour of Uncle Ron's Medical Office, which was attached to the house. This was a very foreign concept to me, and an eye opener. As a child, I understood that your father "went" to work- a place you rarely had the opportunity to see. The fact that he lived and worked in the same house was foreign to me. But, as an adult, I now assume that his profession as a Doctor, was truly who he was and his profession and personal life intersected.
We would like to extend our condolences to Julia and her entire family and join in the memory and celebration of Uncle Rons beautiful life. He touched our family and I am sure , many more.
