Esme was always so kind to me even though I was rather a wild, un-socialized little girl who hung out at your place on The Blvd maybe a little too much. Mrs. Pepall was always brimming with cheerfulness and that regal lady occasionally found time talk to me and listened to what I had to say. I was very fortunate. I've never forgotten her kindness.

I am so sorry that I am unable to attend because my art opening is in Hamilton in the early afternoon. Risking being tied up in traffic haunted me. Your mother ,Esme was such a special person. So upbeat and full of laughter. When I visited her at the Balmoral, She complimented me on my Irish cape and said she still had hers in the hall closet. I am sorry she had such a difficult time with her arthritic feet. But her mind was so alert. She told me how my mother and father provided the perfect foil for her to visit them in Arvida so she could spend time with your dad without her mother being concerned. She even remembered the street and house number in Arvida. Mom's bother was no doubt at RMC with your father. I am sorry you have lost your mother and celebrate all that she was. She lived along and full life. Thanks for providing the family history in the obit. So interesting. Ros, if you ever come this way, do contact me. It was good to catch a glimpse of you when We were in Montreal at MBA during our Expo reunion. I have fond memories of the times we spent together when our parents gathered in Montreal or Chambly.
