Obituary of Henry Dowden

DOWDEN, Henry Van Rooy It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Henry on Sunday, June 8, 2008. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, May 6, 1946, Henry lived most of his life in downtown Toronto. Throughout his life, Henry expressed his creativity through drawing and painting, in addition to working as a commercial artist. A kind and gentle man, he faced the many challenges of a difficult life with humour. Predeceased by his father Henry, mother Priscilla Matilda, and brother Jim. He will be sadly missed by his brother Claude, sister-in-law Jill, nieces Elizabeth and Rebecca, Newfoundland relatives, numerous friends, and very best friend, Joan. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 12th followed by a service in the chapel at 12 noon.
