Obituary of Jill Stern

STERN, Catherine Jill (nee Hunter)September 9, 1943 - June 8, 2008Unexpectedly, due to complications following pneumonia, with her sister, Jane Hunter, and sons, Max and Sam, by her side. Predeceased by her parents, Enid (1963) and Angus (1990) Hunter, and her husband, Herbert (1978). Jill will be sadly missed by the lights of her life - her grandchildren, Hunter, Clay and Joyce; their mother, Lillis Grove Stern (Max); William Knight (Sam); and the Deacon family - Margaret, Bruce, Tom and Beth. The family wishes to thank staff and friends at Houselink, Winona Co-op, Community & Social Services, Dr. Brunt, Heritage Nursing Home, St. Michael's Hospital and dear friends Martha McGrath and Norah Graham for their care and support of Jill. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), at ten o'clock on Saturday, June 14th for a memorial gathering. Cremation has taken place. Interment at the Pringle/Hunter family plot in Belleville Cemetery will take place at a later date.
