I first met Madge on Bloor street when we both worked for doctors. I was new. Madge befriended me and made me feel welcome. I was amazed just at her independent spirit and her dedication to her job. We used to share lunch hours and life experiences. I left my job and lost contact. By accident I saw the announcement in the paper. Madge made a difference to my life years ago and obviously continued to do so to the end.
My condolences to her loved ones and friends

I met Madge at Animal Aid. She was an amazingly, nice, caring and lovely soul. I only knew her for a few years, working with her at meetings, where I heard about all the wonderful work she did in saving and loving cats. My family took in a couple of feral cats that she rescued and cared for them until she could get them adopted out and we adopted one of them, who we still have, and he is our gift from Madge. She will be missed by all the family, friends, and animals whose lives she touched and made better.

I first met Madge after I discovered a colony of feral/homeless cats that she was feeding around 4 years ago.
What an amazing lady she was, a true friend of all the homeless cats and kittens.
God Bless you Madge, an Angel and friend, you will be greatly missed.
I'm sure that all the cats that you have helped over the years that have since passed on are welcoming you to Heaven now.

Madge was a lovely lady that I got to know through Animal Aid. I have been with her several times socially and she was a huge help to me when I had a number of sweet little kittens who needed a home! My condolences and God's blessing be upon Madge's family as we celebrate and remember her life.

Oh Madge, truly believe that there is many (and then some)of those fur babies that you helped over the years, waiting for you at that rainbow bridge, including a few of my own that I got from you. Rest in peace Madge and be assured that you and hard work will not be forgotten.

I was truly saddened to read of Madge's passing. I made her acquaintance several years ago when I was trying to rescue cats. She very kindly loaned me her traps, something which she did several times over the years, put me in contact with clinics who were accepting kittens for adoption and always asked after my own cats. She was truly a kind and giving 'cat lady' and I shall miss her. R.I.P. Madge.

Madge was my long time friend, and friend of all my cats. She was the most devoted caretaker of felines in all conditions. Madge helped me through many crisis with my animal companions, and was deeply compassionate for the health and well being of my own cats, and the cats which I rescued, and most of all, Madge was always genuinely concerned about my own health during all the years. I am going to miss Madge so much ... Thank you, Madge, for everything we shared together > ...I pray that Madge is surrounded with the Huge Love and Huge Comfort which she brought to so many people and so many cats..With much love to you..always-Gina Tzav Wulkan
