Obituary of Jean Fraser

FRASER, Jean DorothyPassed away after a brief illness in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late George Fraser, twin of the late Florence Cowe, and sister of Mary Wilson of Victoria, B.C. Loving mother and mother-in-law to George and Kate and David and Kelley and devoted grandmother of Liz, Bob, Jennifer and Heather. Jean was born in Scotland, raised in Toronto and became a Registered Nurse at Toronto General Hospital. She and her husband married on his return from the 2nd World War where he served as an officer with the 48th Highlanders. They settled in Leaside in 1947 to raise their family. Throughout her adult life she lived with Rheumatoid Arthritis but never let it impede her. Her courage, kindness and generosity of spirit will be much missed by family and friends. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 1st, 2008.
