Alfred Hunter GRAHAM Jr. Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2014, at St. Michael's Hospital in his 81st year. Predeceased by his parents, Alfred H. Graham Sr. and Mary Cooney Graham, and by his infant brother, Gerald. Survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Julia Keeler; his brother-in-law, Cardinal William H. Keeler of Baltimore, MD; his niece, Laura Keeler-Lavin, and his nephew, Paul Keeler-Lavin; cousins in Rochester, NY, and Chapel Hill, NC; and many dear friends. He was born May 10, 1933, in Rochester, NY, and was a graduate of Aquinas Institute there (1950). He earned a BA from St. Michael's College (1956) and an MA from the University of Toronto (1962). From 1951 to 1967, he was a member of the Congregation of St. Basil. He taught at Aquinas Institute and St. John Fisher College in Rochester. After his time as a Basilian, he worked primarily in sales for Mutual Life of Canada, Butland Industries, and Versa Services. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27th. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 28th in ST. BASIL'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 50 St. Joseph Street, Toronto at 10:00 am. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery with reception to follow in the Centre Suites at the funeral home.
