Obituary of Silvestru Moraru

Silvestru Moraru passed away at home on Monday, November 4, 2013. He will be greatly missed by his wife Xenia, his sons Alexandru (Ortansa) and Ion (Mihaela) and grandsons Joseph and John. Born on August 4, 1932 in Bucharest, Romania, Silvestru was an active member of the Romanian community in Toronto. In native Romania, he was a high school teacher and for many years he was the principal of a prestigious high school. In Toronto he continued his activity by collaborating with "Observatorul", a Romanian language paper. He put his trust in our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary and was an active member of Annunciation Byzantine Romanian Catholic Mission. A Memorial Service is scheduled at 1:30PM on Wednesday, November 6, at Our Lady Of Perpetual Church, 78 Clifton Rd., Toronto.
