Obituary of Masako Fukushima

FUKUSHIMA, Masako (Massie) (nee Shiraishi) On Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 85. Predeceased by her beloved husband Toshi. Cherished mother of John. Dear sister to Aiko Hayakawa, as well as late siblings Yoshiyuki, Kay, Phyllis, and Robert. Remembered with great fondness, joy, and affection by her many nieces, nephews, and their extended families. Born in Powell River, BC; Massie will forever be remembered for her inherent kind heartedness, gentle nature, wisdom, and generosity of spirit. It was always her nature to consider others before herself, and she is profoundly missed by all. With sincere gratitude to our family and friends for their love and unwavering support. Thanks and appreciation to the doctors and staff at Sunnybrook for their compassion and care. A private family memorial, followed by interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery has taken place.
