Obituary of Allan Lorne Vader

Allan Lorne Vader March 20, 1920 - January 21, 2013 Allan "Al" Lorne Vader passed away peacefully in his 93rd year on Monday, January 21, 2013. Al was the loving husband of Verna, dedicated father of Lynn Duckworth and Laurie Rothwell, and proud "Papa" of Lynda Watters, Carolyn Duckworth, Sharon Rothwell, and Glenn Rothwell, and also eight great grandchildren. Al will be remembered for his warm smile, terrific sense of humour, and his dedication to the communities in which he lived and served. Al was a veteran of WWII, and served as a Toronto Firefighter until retirement. He loved living in Leaside and enjoyed meeting his old and new friends at the Leaside Curling Club, the Leaside Lawn Bowling Club and the Leaside Gate Condominium at 955 Millwood Road, where he lived. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association (Camp Huronda) or a charity of your choice.
