ALLAN, William "Bill" Norman -
Passed away peacefully in his 88th year on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Bridgepoint Hospital in Toronto. Predeceased by his loved wife Jean Allan (nee Przydzial) and his parents Leslie and Lillian Allan. Survived by his sister Isobel Waugh (nee Allan) and her husband Bill Waugh. Educated at the University of Toronto in commerce and finance, Bill served as Executive Assistant to Finance Minister Donald Fleming in the Diefenbaker Cabinet. He then went on to a career in business, as President and CEO of the Fiscal Group of companies. Bill will be fondly remembered by his family, nieces, nephews and close friends; as a caring, gentle man with a deep commitment to his Christian Faith. His family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Sunnybrook and Bridgepoint Hospitals, who thoughtfully looked after Bill in the last few weeks of his life. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at MURRAY E. NEWBIGGING FUNERAL HOME, 733 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Toronto. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home's Chapel. Interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.
