We were very saddened to hear about the loss of such a great lady. We will certainly miss her, even though it was longer stretches of time in between times that we did see Tante Lucille. It was always comforting to know that she was close by in Toronto. Ernestine certainly appreciated Lucille because Lucille kept in contact with her almost daily, even though near the end , I am sure Ernestine told her the same thing over and over again but your mom still called.. Lucille was a strong support to Ernestine, as I am sure she was for the whole family. Her warm personality and sense of humour will definitely be missed. Tante Lucille a été pour nous le visage souriant de Toronto lorsque nous sommes arrivés ici en 1982 comme jeunes mariés. Elle nous a immédiatement inclus dans les activités de sa grande famille et nous a fait sentir chez nous. Nous n'oublierons jamais les belles soirées passées autour de la table de cartes à jouer au 45 avec avec ses gars et mon oncle Bill. Nous nous sommes souvent fait dire qui étaient les bons et les mauvais…
A plusieurs occasions, elle a partagé avec Mado ses secrets culinaires. La recette des tourtières en particulier a fait fureur dans toute notre famille étendue.
Au cours des dernières années, c'est autour des visites au Winners que s'organisaient nos activités. Les soupers à Newmarket, ou quand le temps pressait, dans les restaurants plus près de chez elle, venaient clôturer les journées.
Tante Lucille va toujours occuper une place de choix dans nos souvenirs de famille à Toronto. Nous savons qu'elle va être bien maintenant avec son cher Bill.
Merci Tante Lucille, nous t'aimons beaucoup.
