I knew Gord as a child. We attended Rolph Road Public School together and later Leaside High School. He was always fun and full of stories, things that happened to him or his brother Al that made him laugh uncontrollably. He would invite me to stop in at his house on our way home from school, and there I met his mother, Madeline, with her dark curly hair and big smile. It was a happy home. Bless Gord for sharing himself with us as he did.

If it was a warm and sunny day, you can bet your last dollar that Gord would be in his back yard with Shadow and Midnight circling his feet and a cold brew in his hand. If you happened to find him there, he was always ready to share a story and a drink. All were welcome.
With the warm weather finally here, I can still picture him outside under the giant Yew tree, and hear him say, "howdy neighbour, how was your day?" as I come home. I will miss his stories, lectures and laughter.
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years - Abraham Lincoln
Our friend Gord Moldon, had a lot of life in his years.

In the warm evenings, coming home meant a conversation across the fence with my neighbour, Gord. He would share the details of his day, latest model building adventure, and offer some friendly advice. I will miss our little talks.

I have lived next door to Gord for the last 13 years. As I would work in my garden, Gord would chat to me from his side of our shared yard. Working in the garden will not be the same without Gord's company. Miss him!

Sincere Condolances to Gord's Friends and Family. We have lost someone who gave so much to so many for so many years both in the classroom and in Ontario's North. I re-read your book a month ago and have passed it onto my son. Your stories and experiences will now have positive influences on the younger generations. Will miss you Buddy. Rich

I'm so sorry to hear of Gord's passing. We started teaching together at Lord Dufferin, and then were again on the same staff at Maurice Cody. He was a great teacher -- really cared about providing kids with a varied and well-rounded education. And he was a good friend. My sympathies to his family.
