Ted Mindy and I were very saddened to hear about the passing of Marlene. We met her far too infrequently over the years, the first time in your back yard on Farrington when you had the residents over one evening. She made us first year residents feel very welcome in your home (as did you of course!). This will always be remembered. As well, I'd just like you to know how much I've always appreciated your support and advise from residency days through those years we were on staff together. I hope that your doing well during this difficult time and always. Steve and Mindy

My parents, Ross and Verna, were fortunate to know Marlene for many years as cottagers on Big Hawk Lake. In the past few years I was able to become acquainted with her too and I found her to be a very sincere, caring person. She had a good sense of humour and was able to make people feel comfortable in her presence. Your family has suffered a great loss but the many memories over the years will be a comfort to you all. Take care. Ken Warden

Dear Ted, Gordon, Leanne, Alison and family: I was so sorry to hear of Marlene's passing. She was such a vibrant and wonderful woman and will be missed by all who knew her. I have many fond memories of fun times with Marlene and you at TGH gatherings and of course our curling games at Bayview Country Club. Please find some comfort in knowing that she is now pain free and at peace with herself. Remember "Some people make a difference just by being who they are, Their inner light shines bright and touches lives both near nd far, And even when they're gone, they still forever play a part In the smiles, the priceless moments, that are treasured in the heart." In memory and in celebration of someone who made this world a brighter and better place. With Warmest Thoughts and Deepest Sympathy, carolyn
