Eadgar Gradek-Szabunio

Obituary of Eadgar Isaac Gradek-Szabunio

Eadgar Isaac Gradek-Szabunio entered this world, and then left in it the very same moment, at Mt. Sinai Hospital Toronto, 02:20 AM, Sunday April 13th, 2014. With loving tenderness, his Father cut his cord, bathed, dressed and swaddled him, and held him together with Mother face-to-skin for several hours, before kissing him lovingly goodbye together one last time. Eadgar was given Catholic rites for a child known unto God the evening prior, receiving blessing through the living tears of his parents, Anna Gradek and Paul Szabunio. A funeral mass was held at 11:00 AM on Easter Monday, April 21st, 2014, at Corpus Christi Parish, Toronto (16 Lockwood Rd., Toronto, ON; ((416) 694-0382; www.corpuschristichurch.ca). All are welcome to attend (DEU with medals is welcome for military guests who may wish to so). Funeral arrangements are under the care of Humphrey's Funeral Home, Toronto ((416) 487-4523; 1403 Bayview Avenue, M4G 3A8. Special thanks to caregiver Szilvia Kramm, Labour and Delivery Department. To recognize Ms. Kramm's extraordinary dedication to care for our friends—Anna Gradek and Paul Szabunio - in their most vulnerable time of need, and for their son, Eadgar Isaac Gradek-Szabunio. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask those who may wish to contribute to do so through the Mt. Sinai Hospital Foundation - "Grateful Hearts Programme; Ms. Szilvia Kramm." This Programme acknowledges caregivers who have played a meaningful role in patient support; Ms. Kramm volunteered specifically to be our labour and delivery nurse. Her dedication, hard work, compassion, warmth, and inner-strength helped us welcome Eadgar with dignity and love into the world, making our journey that much more bearable. Donations may be made directly to: (416) 586-8203 ext. 3936, or online at https://www.mshfoundation.ca/sslpage.aspx?pid=1534, and directed to a care-area of your preference. Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. - Mark, 10:14
