Obituary of Elizabeth Lipcsei

Elizabeth Suzanne (Betty) Lipcsei December 22, 1930 - April 6, 2014 Passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, after a brief struggle with cancer. Our wonderful mother will always be loved and greatly missed by her daughters Susan (Peter), Julie (Peter), Laura (Doug), Lisa (Craig) and her grandchildren Marley, Jonathan, Vanessa, Stephanie, Trevor and Sienna. She was the loving partner to John Nice. Mom was passionate, caring, dedicated and inquisitive - always learning, sharing, teaching and enriching the lives of all those around her. An avid gardener, gourmet cook, traveler, lover of nature and wildlife. Forever the teacher, Elizabeth proudly donated her body to the Division of Anatomy at the University of Toronto for anatomical studies, realizing her lifelong and final wish to pass on knowledge to others. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Monday April 14th, and from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 15th with a Memorial service planned for 3:00 p.m. with a light reception to follow.
