I taught with Chuck at Fisherville Junior High. Chuck was always an interesting guy with a rare sense of humour. I used to travel every summer and one summer in the Cook Islands I looked up and saw Chuck and Lenore walking towards me. We had dinner in the little apt they had rented. They are the only people I ever met who I knew while travelling. I am glad to know that you two had the great pleasure of exploring the world together. I am very sorry for your loss and send my condolences to the whole family. It is your love and caring that surely kept him going with such a great outlook when he became ill. Thinking of you.

I was saddened to hear of Chuck's passing and intrigued to hear his voice so clearly in the obituary which reflected the love of life, family, music and teaching that I came to know when we worked together at Newtonbrook Secondary School in the 1980's. Chuck continues to be an inspiration to us all. My deep condolences to Lenora and family. Irene Roth

My fondest memories of Uncle Chuck include listening to his piano playing or talking about cooking. I have a photo of me as a child sitting next to him playing the piano. I love and miss you and will never forget you. Your loving niece, Elise.

The Mendellssohn Choir has rarely, if ever, had such a dedicated member. Only fellow choristers can appreciate Chuck's huge contribution. We only wish we had known him better.

50+ years is a long time to remain best buddies. A mutual love of music of many different kinds brought us together at Vic,and, although we haven't even lived in the same city for many years, I believe that shared interest & my admiration of your many talents are what maintained the bond for so long.
My buddy will be missed by many. - Roger

So glad our paths crossed at Vic and that we were able to stay connected as friends and neighbours through so many years. Singing, while Charlie played all my favorite songs, always brought such joy. His flare for the turn of phrase and love of the quirkiness of the English language always brought a laugh. Charlie was a very special friend who will be remembered with much love.

Charlie went into Commerce & Finance out of Leaside High School along with John Broley, Al Crosbie and myself. Broley and I hung out with Chuck in that first year after which he switched to English. All 4 of us were at Victoria College. My deepest condolences to Lenora and the entire family. He was a special person.

My heartfelt sympathies to you all. I am Sue Corlett's sister and knew Chuck through Sue. I remember that he visited with her when she was at her last days and she really appreciated his friendship. I remember Chuck from the Leaside days and there is always a smile on my face when I do. I think he almost became an honourary Leaside Lady!!! May he rest now in peace after a wonderful life. I am holding you all in my heart at this time. Sincerely, Trish

Dear Lenora and family, My deepest condolences on Chuck's passing. Chuck and I greeted each other on occasion at choir rehearsal but weren't close friends. Still, it was a pleasure singing with him for 20 of his 34 years in the Mendelssohn Choir. if Chuck had his picks of choirs to sing in, he couldn't have picked a finer organization. I do remember Chuck playing the piano for some receptions of TMC parties. He was great for playing some of those great sing-a-long oldies. Chuck will not be forgotten. He's earned his rest and may he do so accompanied by a choir of angels.
