Roy, I am sorry that I could not attend Nora's service and cannot imagine the enormity of your loss. It can only be surpassed by the enormity of the love that you so obviously shared - so obvious to me by the way you spoke and speak of Nora. That love not only is an example for your children but an inspiration to everyone as something we all hope to have in our lives. I hope that it gives you comfort in this difficult time. Cynthia

Roy and family: Heather and I were away last week and returned only last night. I did not know of Nora's passing until I got into the office this morning. We send our heartfelt regrets. While we did not enjoy her company often we did have the opportunity to get to know her and her indomitable spirit. Fortunately our times together were on happy occasions. Unfortunately Heather and I are unable to attend the service this morning. Our thoughts are with you and your family. Hopefully you will have time to come to London over the next few months to spend a weekend with us and to get you back onto the golf course where you and Nora yourselves together. May her soul rest in peace.

Roy - I was very sorry to hear that Nora has passed away. Although I only met Nora the one time (when we golfed at Taboo), I was always touched by the loving way that you spoke of her. It was obvious that the two of you were still madly in love despite your many years together and the ongoing struggles with Nora's health. Your conversations with me about Nora always left me hoping that my husband will still speak of me that way once we have been married as long as you have. We our sorry to hear the passing of Dr Stephenson. She was an excellent paediatrician. Our son Nathaniel just simply adored her and is also saddened by this news. Her compassion, warmth, kindness and good natured personality eased our son's fears of going to the doctor and especially when getting his immunizations.
