Uncle George. I have the most dear memories of you and the laughter which always bubbled in the room when your were there. Our family visits and vacations are amongst my most treasured memories. You and dear Aunt Sarah were always giggling together over something and it was so infectious everyone else would start giggling too. I remember nothing but happy times, and how, when I was a youngster, I would continually sneak up behind you, give you a big hug and call you "George of the Jungle". Every time, you laughed as if it were the first time you had heard it. You were my most treasured Uncle, and I am grateful for the wonderful memories. You will always be in my heart.

Uncle George, my memories of you are mainly from when I was a young girl and remembering how kind you were and how you would always think nothing of taking us where we needed to go. You liked to crack the Newfie jokes just like my dad. You were also a perfect gentleman just like my dad. All of us have such deep respect and admiration for you.
I know that your passing is going to leave a big void in Aunt Sarah's heart along with Weldon and Linda and all of the rest of the family. Rest In Peace Uncle George and please give hugs to Mom & Dad for me. Love Marilyn

To you, Uncle George, my memories of you are filled with so many happy times. Your giggles and laughter were infectious, which made any occasions shared with you the most fun, and forever treasured. I recall when I was a kid, you allowed me to "sneak up" behind you time and time again, I would wrap my arms around you and call you "George of the Jungle"....and every single time you would laugh as if it were the first time! I always looked forward to our family vacations and visits, they are amongst my most treasured memories. You were my most beloved Uncle, and I send my sincere condolences and love to Linda, Gord and family, Weldon, Debbie and family, and to dear Aunt Sarah. Though Heaven has called an angel back, you'll always be here in my heart,
from Jane and Shayna

George Warren was my Mom's big brother. I really do have so many fond memories of him and my Aunt Sarah dating back to when I was just a young boy. He was the big man with the small car, living in the big city of Toronto. I recall how my Mom seemed to have that little extra admiration for her big brother. Not that she didn't love her other siblings, it’s just that George was the one to look up to. I think he brought a level of respect to their whole clan. I spent some years in southern Ont. as a young adult and I always felt the need to stay in touch, to take the time to travel into Toronto to visit. My wife, Linda, and I truly enjoyed seeing them and how well they were doing. Then in 1994 as my Mom spent her last weeks on this earth laying in a hospital bed in Thunder Bay, there was George and Sarah making the long journey to see her in her final days. A gesture that coincided with all they did for her as she fought arthritis with numerous treatments and procedures in Wellesley Hospital in Toronto. Kindness that will not be forgotten. Our 2 daughters, Connie and Jenna, are both young adults living on their own now, but when they were just young girls we vacationed in southern Ont. and we brought them to meet Uncle George and Aunt Sarah. It just seemed to be an important thing to do. Family. And, oh ya, I must mention the fact that my Uncle George had a friend who just happened to be the captain of the Stanley Cup winning 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs, Mr. George "the Chief" Armstrong. Whom I had the privileged and thrill of meeting at their 50th wedding anniversary party. That is something I still brag about to this day. Just sayin. Then this past summer, my wife and I planned a little vacation to Toronto to visit our daughter and other family and friends. George and Sarah were once again on the list as it had been far too long since we had seen them. Well around the same time we received word from my cousin Linda that her parents would be moving to a new residence, a seniors home in Alliston. So the idea of visiting my Aunt and Uncle became more of a priority. We made the trip to Alliston and had a wonderful visit with George and Sarah. We had fun "stimulating" George’s memory, helping him recall his sister, my mom, Doris (Doss) and her husband Bill and their kids. His body and spirit were strong and he still enjoyed a good laugh. I am so very thankful that we took the time to visit that day. It is a cherished memory. I know God’s grace played a large part in Georges life here on earth and that would explain why his spirit has been and will be so strong. And I'm sure he has brought a lot of good to many. God’s grace also plays a part in my life and I will use Uncle Georges strong spirit and longevity as inspiration with the hope of coming close to what he has contributed to this crazy world. Uncle George; You are in a wonderful place now. Surrounded by love and peace. Please give hugs to my Mom and Dad. I will be keeping my memories of you in my thoughts, and I will be praying for your wife Sarah and your family in the days and weeks to come. May you rest in peace. George, I have known the family for over 30yrs. Friend of Weldon's and Deb's. You were always a joy to see at family functions. I always enjoyed listening to your stories, and that little giggle that you had!
It's not the end of life, it's the beginning of your new life. The Angels will be watching over you.

George, I am going to miss you. For over 38 years you were my Father-in-Law and my friend. I loved the way you laughed at your own jokes and the little things you used to do to make people laugh. Like the first time I came to your home. You were dancing in the kitchen with the kettle. ;o) I wondered, what have I got myself into. Well, 38 years later after marrying into your family, I know. I love every minute of it. You were a kind caring man and I am going to miss you terribly.
Rest in Peace George.
