Thinking of you all at this time and know that I am sending love and warm thoughts your way. Although many years have passed since I last saw Mrs. Kostovcik (aka Nancy's mom), I remember her as a healthy beautiful woman. I never did get the chance to thank her for teaching me to sew..now I have! xoxo

Dear Josephine seems an appropriate way to start. Thank you for the memories. My first memories of you holding me and rocking me in the rocking chair...singing. Always singing to me as you rocked me. You were the first-born of 8 children in our family. I was the eighth. Both of us born on September 12th, 13 years apart. First you, then our 4 brothers, Dave, Gerry, Vincent, Nicholas. Then came Margaret, Elise and me. I was the 'baby' of the family. The story goes that when I came, born on the same date as the first-born, you, Josephine, it was a sign that Mom & Dad knew I was the last...I have so many childhood memories of you, and I am so very grateful for all of them. After Mom & Dad were gone, our relationship picked up again. I will always cherish our many long phone conversations over the past 16 plus years. Where did they go? As the conversations became shorter and fewer over the last couple years, I knew you were tired. You talked more of heaven and of being with your family already departed. My joy today is in knowing that you are now with them. No more pain and suffering.
Psalm 116:7-19 is for you, Josephine...v7 Return unto your rest, O my soul; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with thee. v8 For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. v9 I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. v10..I kept my faith, even when I said, "I am greatly afflicted"; v12.. What shall I return to the Lord for all His bounty to me? v15.. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful ones. v16.. O Lord, I am your servant, You have loosed my bonds.
Rev. 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more...
That is how I see you now, Josephine; no more pain, or crying. Old things have passed away. All things have become new for you.
All my love...
Mary Ann

Aunt Josephine, I'll always remember the kind women you were. The times I had the pleasure of your company were always special. You had a long struggle but still took time to enjoy what you could in life. You made every day precious. May you now enjoy the peace that is so rightly yours. Love Mark
