Obituary of Frank Mole

MOLE, Francis Thomas (Frank) Fifty year plus Member of the Canada Lodge No. 532 GRC and Past Patron, Laurel Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star Lodge. Suddenly at his home on Monday, November 24, 2008, in his 97th year. Frank was predeceased by Barbara Aileen Ramsden, his beloved wife of 52 years, and his daughter Barbara (Fisher Parker). He will be dearly missed by son Robert and his wife Helen. Proud grandfather of Susan Fisher (Firoz Ahmed), Rick Mole (Nancy), Geoffrey Fisher (Cheryl Griffin) and Tracey Hughes (Joe), and delighted great-grandfather of Taylor and Mack Hughes, Evan Mole, and Robin, Christopher and Molly Ahmed. Frank loved children, dogs, motorcycles, swimming and buttermilk. Born in Toronto in 1912, he apprenticed as a watch repairer and jeweller with Gunning Brothers, following in the family trade. He built a successful jewellery business over the years, working side by side with his wife Aileen. He had a great sense of humour, an unbelievable stubborn streak and a terrific swan dive. We will miss him. A special "thank you" to Delilah, Lucy and Fiona for their love, kindness and care of Frank over these last several months and to Dr. Jocelyn Charles and the staff at Sunnybrook's Family Practice Unit for the excellent care they provided him over many years. We are also grateful to his Leaside neighbours for their support. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26. Service will be held in the chapel at 11 o'clock on Thursday, November 27. Private interment at Pine Hills Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to East York Meals on Wheels, 2 Thorncliffe Park Drive, Unit 52, Toronto, Ontario, M4H 1H2.
