WYLIE, Gladys Dobbie Gladys was born in Dundee, Scotland on September 7, 1920, grew up in Toronto and passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by those she loved, on October 9, 2008. Much loved by her daughters Virginia Hoffman (Paul), Lynda Thompson (Michael), and Frances Aurnhammer (Heiner); grandchildren Andrew (Jen), Kristine and Sharon Hoffman; James (Stephanie), Aaron (Tara) and Kate Thompson; Larissa (Jens), Maika Aileen and Natalie Aurnhammer; and great-grandchildren Noah and Molly. Predeceased by her long time companion, George Pegg in 1985. Survived by her sisters, Marion Etwell, Noreen Redford and Lorna Webster and their families. Gladys was a fun-loving mother and grandmother who lived life to the fullest. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 13. Service will be held in the chapel at 11 o'clock on Tuesday, October 14, followed by a gathering to celebrate her life at the Madison Pub from 12:30 onwards.
