Donald Bruce Douglas1923-2008Bruce passed away in his sleep on September 11, 2008 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto. He will be sadly missed by his wife Shirley, daughter Ann and her husband Jean, son Ian and his wife Michelle and grandsons Christopher and Graham (Amy). He also leaves to grieve his sisters June Johns (Roger) and Beth Heltcher, and his extended family. During WWII, Bruce was a Flying Officer in the RCAF. He served as a navigator on Lancasters with 100 Squadron RAF Bomber Command. Bruce was shot down and bailed out over Nuremburg, thus becoming a member of the Caterpillar Club. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) at one o'clock on Thursday, September 18. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
