MacVICAR, John BenjaminPeacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. John beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Betty) Rice (1998). Loving father of Mary and her husband Brian Kalanda. Devoted grandfather of Rob and Kevin. Predeceased by his sister Helen Crooker. John will be fondly remembered by his nephew Merv Crooker as well as his many cousins and dear friends. John served in WWII with the Royal Canadian Armed Services Corps in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He retired from the Royal Trust Company after more than 45 years of service. Special thanks to Dr. Mary Rogano and the staff at Donway Place for their excellent care. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) for a funeral service on Friday, September 19 at three o'clock. Reception to follow.
