The Friends of Fort York recall with gratitude the advice and support Bob Macaulay gave us in the mid-1990s when we were deeply involved in a public discussion of the place Fort York should have in the city. Eventually we won over those who counted in creating the 43-acre open space that is Fort York today, and which in 2012 will be augmented further by a new Visitor Centre. Bob, we could not have done it without you. Thanks. Our thoughts are with your surviving family as they reconcile themselves to your passing.
