Obituary of Fern Little

LITTLE, Fern Irene Alberta Frecker (April 14, 1927 – September 28, 2017)

Fern, as she liked to say, has left the building.  She has peace at last and will always be “almost perfect”.  Her last breath was taken to Glen Millers Moonlight Serenade at 10 a.m. on September 28th at Southlake Regional Hospital.  Mom was never one to want to stand at the front of the room at any event.  She has always been the organizer behind the scenes making sure things ran smoothly, as many in the Toronto life insurance community know well, as the Executive Director for the Life Underwriters Association of Toronto (retiring in 1992).  Wife to Robert Arthur Little (deceased), mother to Nancy and Carrie Little, grandmother to Grace Guest and favourite aunt to Vicki McGill, she will always be remembered for her immaculate style, bossiness and joie de vivre.  Following her wishes she will be cremated.  Family and close friends will get together to celebrate her life at a later date.  Thank you to all who have helped her take this last journey in comfort and peace.  A special shout-out to the nurses at Southlake who helped not only mom, but her family as well through this difficult time.  If desired, we ask that a donation be made in her memory to the Southlake Regional Hospital.  Condolences, photographs and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.
