Obituary of Mildred Cecilia Brown

Died peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in her 100th year.  Predeceased by her beloved husband Larry, six siblings and six in-laws.  Dearly missed by her children Ann-Maureen (Peter Owens), Michael, and Cathy (Bert Notarius).  Loved Nana of Brian (Abby), Luke (Amy), David and Kevin Owens, Lauren and Johanna Notarius, and great-grandchildren Ivy, Nora and Peter.  She is survived by her brother Gerry Costello (Miriam), brother-in-law George Brunton, sister-in-law Jean Costello, and many nieces and nephews.

Mildred inspired all with her positive outlook, deep kindness, strong faith, and pursuit of learning.  She loved her family, friends, and a good party.  Many thanks to her supportive faith community and to the exceptional caregivers at Greenview Lodge.

The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2nd.  A funeral mass will be held in THE FRANCISCAN CHURCH OF ST.
